December arrives and the year is gone!!!!!!

Ive been trawling around looking for free ideas for something different this Christmas, I have found lots of patterns and have made new decorations for us and friends.

Married 8 days now

This is us signing the register, I look so happy, I guess thats because I am, very happy.

The thing is, neville hardly smiles in any pics but then neville hardly smiles in public anyway :)

The day turned out perfect, see the sun shining, well you wouldnt believe it was absolutely bucketing down an hour before, everyone wanted me to change venues and I stood firm and said NO I want to be married at Oldina, its where we met and we want to make our vows there. God must have agreed cuz,,,, it stopped raining :)

The day before the wedding!!!!!!!!!!

Well here it is, the 14th of November and we get married tomorrow !! How exciting is that................... OK its very very exciting.

This past week has been just a bit of a blur really, I wrote a list last weekend and every day had things to do on it.

Monday I made some phone calls and dyed my hair,
Tuesday my bestest friend Mappy came over and we discussed wedding stuff, she is making a bit of a speech before the ceremony, before we arrive. Wednesday I went house work mad, dusted, vaccuumed cleaned, tidied became very domesticated, so not like me !!
Thursday I had to go to the school for a P&F meeting, which involved the president suprising everyone with his resignation, leaving me as sec and a vice pres as the only executive officers left. I am thinking that this might see the end of P&F. Then I did the school banking because I was rostered on.
Friday, tegan had a hair cut, we came home and I made a comb to wear in my hair then Ryan came home from school and we went to the Golf Club to set up for the reception. Mum and Trisha(my sister) and Jessica(my niece) came to help as well as Mappy, we set tables, blew up balloons and Ryan was great at putting the balloons up high. the room looks fantastic, i am really happy with how it turned out. Nev went to Smithton after work to pick up his kids for the weekend. so now we are just sitting, I feel like I should be in bed :) I am so tired.

I guess thats it for now I will post more and some pictures after the wedding :)

Hello again

Well here I am and its 40 days til we say I Do, Nev says oh yeah , I say , you don't look stressed, he says, whats there to be stressed about. oh I do love him. Some days I could probably kill him but that soon passes and I just want a cuddle from him, hes my great big teddy bear. I am sure he feels the same way about me too , the killing bit not the teddy bear bit lol.

We often say that we are the most luckiest people in the world to have each other. I wish he was more romantic and then out of the blue he suprises me by saying amazing things like, when we were writing the wedding vows, I had writtten as long as we both shall live and he said no, why should it end there write, for this life and beyond. And I say hes not romantic!!!!!

He is the best thing in my crazy upside down roller coaster life. And the best part....................... he says the same about me!!

Last week, Panda finally had her babies, she had 4 of the little squeakers!!

Wedding Stuff

Hi Ho Its Me again!!

Isn't this CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Havent done a lot this week but will show you some stuff I have done for the wedding. I bought this gorgeous cake topper from "spotlight" for $17.95, the same thing on eBay for $40.!! Imagine.!!

My Sister Trisha had one very similar for her wedding in Jan but her "bride" had blonde hair.

I have made our order of service phamplets to give the guests at the ceremony, these are quite small with a silver printed vellum front and a gorgeous "Heart" brad holding them all together. I am really happy with how they turned out.

I also have made these bombonieres. These little packs of lollies I got at the discount store for 40 for $2.00. Then I made the covers and covered each and every one, each guest will have on in their place setting I made 60 of them so I guess they cost about $4.00 all up.

I also made the guest book, I got one of those cardboard scrapbooking books and covered each page with weddingish paper. All in all , that side of things is going remarkedly well.

As for the "other" side , well we had a bit of a dispute with Nevs mum this week which has left us both feeling really bad, She was just trying to have control I guess and said if we didnt invie blah blah, well she wouldnt come. initially I was of the opinion, oh well sorry you wont be there but then stopped , she IS Nevs mum and he would hate it if she wasnt there so, we gave in. Its just that we hate the fact that basically she blackmailed us. grrr. Doubt Nev will ever forget this tho............

Panda

Panda is SOOOO pregnant, she is getting huge, poor baby, her babies are due anytime from about a week. hurry up and have those babies Panda.

only a week later

Well its only a week since I have been on here, school hols are nearly over now much to boy angels disgust, he is not looking forawrd to going back to school. Of course Girl angel cannot wait, its the social thing I think although she sure loves to learn as well.

8 weeks from tomorrow and its the wedding, I cant even manage to be excited at the moment, I am having a terrible "down" time, am thinking of upping the pills, might just see how I go for the next week, may need to visit my GP again.

The wedding planning is about at a standstill, girl angel and my mother, both seem to think I need to carry a bouquet, I am undecided on that one.

if I could have a nice bunch of freesias I would but they would be finished by then. Will wait and see how I feel closer to the time.

I have been doing a few swaps lately These inchies are ready for the 3rd swap in a lot of 5 swaps for the inchies alphabet, its fun thinking of something that I can put on a 1 inch square.

We, kids and I went to visit my brother ,SIL ,niece and nephew yesterday, Nicole had her 14th birthday last week and I wanted to see her for that, Tom is about 15 months now and a real cutie. I made sausage rolls, cuz they all love my sausage rolls and SIL made some yum savouries and we had a lovely lunch. Was good to catch up with them, we dont see them very often.

The Date, The Date!!!!

Well as I told you earlier, we set the date for our wedding, we are getting married on November the 15th, at Oldina Forsetry Reserve at 4pm, then the reception is going to be at the Burnie Golf Club , with Elvis playing the music. Now how many people can say they are having Elvis play at their wedding??? LOL I can, seriously thats his name, maybe his mum was a huge fan!!!!!!!!

Today Girl Angel and I had the best of luck we went shopping to change the shirt we had bought nev for the wedding, I got one that was too big. Well we had a bit of time so we went to Payless shoes and there they were.......... nice black sandles IN MY SIZE!!!!! needless to say I bought them, we then went to Kmart, and looked for a dress for Girl Angel, and look we did, but can you believe this I said ok theres nothing here turned a corner and there it was,,,, the perfect dress for her, we went and she tried it on and IT FIT,,,, it was just OUR day for wedding shopping.
Speaking of clothes for the wedding , I made a start on my top, and OMG I hate it, it makes me look as big as 3 barns, I wont wear it, Ill have to come up with something else, its a waste of approx $35 for fabric , but I dont care, I hate it!!!!!!!!
School hols here. been pretty laid back, nev has had this week off work and we have had his son for the week. Boy Angel has spent a few extra days up on the farm so hes been happy and girl angel spent a few days with a friend of hers at my mums.

Since last time I have been doing stuff for the wedding, I will post some pics next time of what I've been up to.

This is a needle felted pin cushion that I made last week. I am pretty addicted to needle felting, thanks to Niss fo sending me the gear to do it.

This pin cushion is made on cream felted jumper, then the flower is also a different colour felted jumper, and the centre is the same as the cream base. it looks so cool, I really like it although I will probably send it to someone on swap bot.

This one is also from the AFA site and is called Recycle It Again, the rule was you had to make the ATCs using old calendar, greeting cards etc.

Well thats about it for now, apart from the fact that I have been so sick this last week with the flu, its been really horrible but nev has been doing heaps of stuff around the house for me. Oh he's a good'un.

Hello again

hi I am back, Ive been busy sending out tags and swaps this week.

I love the Aussie group wishlist, Ive really enjoyed making up these little gifts.

I am also hosting my first swap at ATCs For All, its a "Feeling Puzzled" swap each ATC has to have a puzzle piece on it, I thought it would be fun but now I find its turned into a real challenge, the other people in the swap are saying the same thing. At ATCs For All, you have to have certain amount of feednback before you can host and for your first swap it can only be a 3 for 3 swap with 12 participants. But it will be great to see what everyone comes up with.

Oh I also did 2 private matchbox swaps this last week as well, I had never done one so I asked in forum for help and made and sent 2 matchboxes cobvered and filled with the themes chosen. I really hope I did them right and the people I sent them too are happy with them.

Anyway thats it for me this week I am off to bed, boy angel is back to the farm in the morning and good ole mum gets to take him.

Only 6 days

Only 6 days since I was here last, I am doing so well. Hmm my mum always told me that self praise was no recommendation, but I think, hey someones gotta do it , right?

In the last 6 days, what been happening, I have been crafting of course, like there is anything else do to !!

I made a cute bag out of a pure wool jumper I bought at the op shop which I felted then needle felted, then I lined it and made the strap, it looks pretty cool if I do say so myself, (theres that self praise thing again).

I finally (lol) got the Round Robin, Box of Goodies from our Aussie swap-Bot group, wow that was fun, the picture shows 1/2 of what was in it when I got it, i took out what I wanted and it was empty!!! no not really I took out what I wanted then added the goodies I had bought for it and sent it on its way to ozrob, who started the box.

Ozrob is going to start another box soon, I will be in that round robin too, what fun!!!

Well what else is new?? Ahh wedding Plans well the caterer is finalised (yay) at only $25 a head for a roast medley and a selection of sweets, i am impressed.

Venue Booked, Balloons bought, rings ordered, music on the way. its slowly coming together.

Back Again

Well lookee there, Here I am again!!!

Today I took Boy Angel to Wynyard to his farm job experience thingie, I visited my bestest friend and of course we talked weddings, weddings, weddings, OHHHHHHHHH but of course, I havent told you. We set a date!!! but I cant tell you when, because one of the groups I am in on Swap-bot is running a guessing competition to pick the date, Soooo I can let you know at the end of the month. Clue,,,, its this year!!!

So anyway after a discussion on table decorations, table cloths etc etc, Girl Angel and I went to Woolies to shop for an inside BBQ we are having tonight for Boy Angels 14th Birthday (which is Monday)

so hard to believe it was 14 years ago I was waddling around with the giant watermelon, then at 2.22pm on Thursday the 11th Aug 1994 I gave birth to the gorgeous boy, who weighed in at a neat 10lbs !! yup he was my first...

Well probably enough babbling, I should get busy making those darn kebabs !!. Until we meet again......... Cx

Oh My Goodness

Its been a month !!!!!!!! here it is 08/08/08, the eighth of the eighth two thousand and eight, thats a lot of eights. happy birthday to anyone having one today!!

Well ok I guess you probably havent noticed but its been a month since I have ummmm errr blogged, so much for my big promise that I would blog weekly. bad bad me

I have been doing lots of stuff, craft related of course :0 and family related, I seem to spend a lot of my time arguing with Boy Angel at the moment, he went to Ben Lomand (Ski mountain) at the weekend with Scouts and came home very tired, Monday night he had first aid, Wednesday night he had Scouts, by Thursday night he was horrid, I spent most of the evening yelling it seemed. it was awful, I hate it all soo much. please tell me that Girl Angel wont do this too me :(

FELTING, wonderful Niss from Swap-bot sent me the beginnings of my new favourite craft, I made this bag for my SIL for christmas all out of an old woolen jumper which I felted and then needle felted the pic on a piece and stitched on. I love it !! (Yes it IS a cow)

Seems like a couple of days since I was here but actually its more like 2 weeks, So I will try an make the effort to post Each Wednesday, hahaha ok I did say try.


This card is done for a character swap, the deal was the card had to have a character, 1 bow, 2 flowers, 3 colours not inc skin and 4 embellishments, I had fun with this one.

Last Friday N and I went to Launnie again, we took the old motor out of the cruiser to the place where he bought the new motor, went

to our fav fish and chip shop in Kings Meadows and of course to Bunnings :)



These cards are 4 of the 8 I did for a "Not another Disney" swap at ATCS for All.
I really love the way the door knob from Alice In Wonderland turned out.

On Sunday Boy Angel went to a farm near Wynyard to do some work experience, he had a great time but was totally exhausted when we went to pick him up, went to bed at 8pm and I

had to wake him at 7 the next morning.

Girl Angel spent most of Sunday asleep in bed with a tummy virus thingie.

I cant wait to get all mine back for this swap, I have had great fun trying to work out what to do for each letter.

The weather here has been totally awful the last few days, wet, wild and windy, ewww I hate it.

I am drying the washing in front of the heater, lounge looks like a chinese laundry.

On the plus side, I cant get out so I am crafting more and more, I recently finished a swap from ATCs For All of SUNFLOWERS, one of the cards I did, I was sooo proud of that I couldnt bear to part with it, Ill stick a pic in here, it really probably isnt much but I felt so proud of me when I finished it :)

N and I went to Launnie on Monday for a drive and to see if we could get a part for the new motor for the Cruiser, which we couldnt, but we had a nice day, spent together.

Thats about all for now I think, nearly the end of the tax year which means I may have a few extra $$ soon, I love tax time :) I can buy some more art supplies and STAMPS for that blasted overseas postage!!!!

Swap-Bot

Oh how I love swap-bot, what would I do all day if I didnt have my cards etc to work on.
I am in several groups and feel like I am part of a family, especially in the Aussie Swappers and the Aus and NZ Gals group.
I have learnt so many new techniques and have improved so much in my art, ART!! that seems so funny saying that, I get some wonderful comments on my work, it really makes my day. sometimes my week!!!
I look through my flicka and see some of what Ive done and I think, wow thats good, sad isnt it!? lol
So if any of you people out there have commented on my work ( in a good way lol) many many many thanx ..

BTW the babies are growing up so fast, Blossoms babies are 15 days old now and Pandas are 10 days old, and they have about doubled in size :)

whew its been a while

Hi everyone I am back , its been ages since I wrote here, bad me!!

We have had school hols here and still this week so have been pretty busy with BA and GA also the exciting news is both our lady guinea pigs, Blossom and Panda have had their babies, Ill try and put some pics in. Oh they are so cute !!!

Well I am back I have been busy crafting away, On the weekend BA went to a scout camp and we bathed all the piggies here is a pic of Baby Bob having his first bath.

Saturday 17th May

Well so much for a sleep in I was awake before 7am, gee I hate that!!!!
Did some washing and general housework. DOH asked if we wanted to go somewhere so we ended up driving to the next city and buying hungry Jacks for lunch :), I also managed to incorporate a buying trip for craft items into the day.
Came home and I spent some time sorting out swaps, I have enveloped all the ones I have completed ready for posting as soon as I get my partners address. God i'm organised arent I? lol

SWAPPING

I currently swap (mainly ATC's) on 2 websites under the name of neca84
www.swap-bot.com is a fun swap site where you can join groups for group swaps or one on one swaps.
www.atcsforall.com is another great swap where people host swaps and all players send to them and then they return all the cards out to all players. I have sent in about 7 of these swaps but as yet havent received any.

Whoops for those that don't know and most of my friends and family wouldnt know ,,, ATC's are Artist Trading Cards,, these cards uniformly measure 3 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches and are traded OR given, they are not supposed to be sold. In the beginning

I have been swapping for about a month now and see a lot of people have blogs so I thought maybe I should have one too.
Today Friday the 16th of May, is the beginning of my blog.

A bit of background about me :
I am a 45 years old woman, named Carol, Live with my DOH (Dear Other Half) and my 2 angels, Boy Angel aged 13 (and forgetting he is supposed to be an angel lately) and Girl Angel aged 11.

We Live in Tasmania in a city called Burnie. BA is in grade 8 at high school and GA is in grade 6 in primary school.
