looks like its taken me a long time to get back into this blogging thing again. Lots have happened here at home. You can see that today is Nev and Is 2nd wedding anniversary, HE of course forgot but I think I may forgive him because hes feeling sick and had the day off work today.

We had a but of a breast cancer scare recently, but thankfully all turned out ok. I nearly felt guilty leaving some other women at the recall with not so good as my news. It was nice to have a night away with Nev but neither of us were feeling very relaxed and happy at the time.

ETSY DUST SWAP JUNE

I took part in the dust team swap again for June, I was thrilled (as was Tegan) with what I received and thankfully the person (Jennifer AKA Haffina) I sent to was also very happy with what I made her .

I made a fabric doll and a library bag for her little girl and she made me ,, well Tegan a lovelt pink bracelet and cool earrings and also sent a phone charm that I claimed before tegan could !!!

Just passed thru my mind this morning that its here nearly the end of March AND we are still saying Gee its hot. We did light the heater one night last week but I think thats only because nev was feeling a bit like an arsonist, I think he misses the fire. lol

Well here it is a week after Marmalade joined our home and I am thinking he has settled in quite well, My allergies only play upp if I touch him and dont wash my hands straight away. He of course is well on the way to being the boss of the house.
This last week I have been working on an easter swap where you decorate and fill an egg carton with plastic eggs in which you put little gifts. I also participated in a "bit about me" swap which had me going way back and remembering childhood memories and events, and buying some Tassie souveniers to post to my partner in South Australioa, I received my swap today from a lady in New Zealand which was fun.

I have also been working on some journal pages which I really enjoy.

Marmalade

Well here he is, Tegan's new cat, Marmalade. I call him Puss Cat or Fella or Mr. Cat I can never remember his name lol

Ahhhhhhhhh it keeps on going

Well things have finally come to a head with the whole family drama thats been going on so if you need updating message me ok.

Today I am feeling sad and a bit scared , a very close frind of mine is having a lumpectomy today, I am hoping that it all goes well for her, just hate the waiting to hear I guess.

Another thing today my parents have headed off overseas, they have gone back to South Africa for another holiday and to see more of the counrty and for my Step father to play cricket again.

Neville has been delivering wood after work everyday this week and I am feeling like I have hardly seen him.

OHHHHHHHH Another thing this week,. Neville finally gave in and gave Tegan permission to get a cat. Well we visited the pound and she has chosen one, (Even I have to admit he is a cutie) he was having the necessary vitit to the vet yesterday and we pick him up on Friday, his name is/ was Jason............ now who calls a cat Jason, I swear the cat blushed when they told us his name,, of course he is going to be named something more masculine, cooler and darnright Cat like.......... Marmalade. ...........sigh, I was voting for Bax.

I have started a new quilt for another strip quilt round robin, this time the theme is circles and stripes, Its going to be so interesting to see how everyone interprets the theme, this is my starting strip:)

Really Bad Week

As some of you may know its been a pretty tough week for us this week and its no where near finished yet. I am hoping for more news on Monday and hopefully let me know that its over and I can STOP STRESSING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone who wants more info on this can message me privately and I will let you know what been going on.

I have been taking part in a All Types Of ART A-Thon at www.atcsforall.com this weekend and have made several ATCs which hopefully I might get a trade or two out of, these 2 are a couple of the vintage type ones I made.

I have also been working on some vintage gift cards for another swap and loving making them, I do love the vintage theme.

Anyway thats it for today, I better go and pick up what I imagine to be a very tired girl angel, she has spent the day bowling, lunching and shopping with friends for 1 friends birthday. Oh to be 13 and have a social life :)

Whoops

Here we go again its ages since I blogged, in the interim I have crafted heaps, done heaps of swaps one of my favourites was an altered jigsaw puzzle piece one. I made my pieces into magnets, and was really happy how they turned out.

I have also made a couple of pages for a fabric art journal round robin which have been a real challenge but at the same time, a ton of fun !!

Also been doing lots of journal page swaps and round robin, I love seeeing other peoples ideas and art ... well thats me for today, Hubb is taking me out for tea, only problem is we have i1 kid here so douses the romance hahaha.. C arol xxx

Well what happened to this year here it is Jan 30th already !!!!!!!! AND I havent blogged once, bad bad me :)

I have no excuses except maybe a lack of enthusiasm , been having a few dc visits and changing of medications and all that fun stuff so I have been having some "off" time .

Today we are having a BBQ to celebrate my birthday early, yay me . Nev turned 51 on the 20th Jan , he let that slide fairly quietly whereas I just love my birthday, so I am celebrating with friends tonight. cant wait might even invite that bottle of wine thats been in the fridge since Christmas hehehe

Also today i joined A Thing A Day, http://thing-a-day.com/, apparently you make 1 thing every day in Feb, I prob will make it to the 2nd or something lol but I am going to have a go at it.
